Sterkte (D/PWR/SPH)	Power is the strenght of your contact lens, and is a number between -25 and +25 (e.g. -1.50 or -1,75 or +1.00 or +2.50, etc.) Power is also called ”Pwr”, ”D”(diopters), ”Strenght” or ”SPH” (sphere) in the prescription or on the contact lens box. In your prescription, ”OS” = Your left eye and ”OD” = Your right eye. Cylinder and Axis are usually separated by ”x” and read as ”times” (example: -0.75x160). The lenses that correct astigmatism are called ”TORIC” contact lenses.

This is the orientation of your astigmatism (e.g., 180, 160, 90, etc.). Axis is often written as ”AX” or ”X” in your prescription or on the contact lens box. Cylinder and Axis are usually separated by ”x” and read as ”times” (example: -0.75x160). The lenses that correct astigmatism are called ”TORIC” contact lenses.
